Sec. 1069.054. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.
(a)To be eligible to be a candidate for or to serve as a director, a person must be:
(1)a resident of the district; and
(2)a qualified voter.
(b)A director elected or appointed to represent a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that commissioners precinct.
(c)A district employee may not serve as a director.
