Sec. 2025.257. TERM OF LICENSE; RENEWAL.

(a)A license issued under this subchapter is valid for a period set by the commission not to exceed 36 months following the date of issuance. The license is renewable on the:
(1)completion of an application;
(2)receipt of satisfactory results of a criminal history record information check; and
(3)payment of the fee in accordance with commission rules.
(b)The commission by rule may adopt a system under which licenses expire on various dates during the year. For the year in which the license expiration date is changed, license fees shall be prorated on a monthly basis so that each license holder pays only that portion of the license fee that is allocable to the number of months during which the license is valid.
