Text
Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, when a grand jury is convened pursuant to this part, the district attorney general shall:
(1)Have the authority to compel by subpoena the testimony of witnesses before the grand jury; and (2) Be present to examine witnesses coming before the grand jury, as well as to give legal advice to the grand jury as to matters cognizable by it.
