§ 2-5-205 — Presidential preference primary - Printing of names on ballot - Withdrawal of name

(a)The names of candidates for president of the United States shall be printed on the ballot for the presidential preference primary only if they are:
(1)The names of persons for whom the chair of a statewide political party has certified to be placed on the ballot for the office of president of the United States to the secretary of state. The secretary of state shall submit the names to the state election commission no later than the first Tuesday in December immediately preceding the year in which the election will be held. If a candidate who has been certified by the secretary of state wishes to be a candidate in the presidential primary of a party other than that for which the chair of the statewide political party certified the candidate, then the candidate shall signify the candida
