Text
Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapters 27 through 41 of this title, the department may promulgate regulations necessary for the operation of an emergency unemployment compensation system in the event of an enemy attack or natural disaster, as declared by the President of the United States, that disrupts or endangers the department's usual procedures or facilities.

HISTORY: 1962 Code SECTION 68-77; 1957 (50) 580; 2010 Act No. 146, SECTION 50, eff March 30, 2010; 2011 Act No. 3, SECTION 8, eff March 14, 2011. Effect of Amendment The 2010 amendment substituted "department" for two occurrences of "Commission"; and made other nonsubstantive changes. The 2011 amendment substituted "may promulgate" for "must promulgate", and inserted "or natural disaster, as declared by the President of the United States,".
