§ 46-3-17. Title to land acquired — Municipal contributions.

(a) Whenever any land is purchased or otherwise acquired pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, title to the land shall be taken in the name of the state of Rhode Island and payment therefor shall be made in the first instance by the state from the appropriation provided. At the time the payment is due and payable the municipality for which the land is acquired shall pay to the state its proportionate share of the cost as set forth in § 46-3-6.
