§ 46-15.3-3. Purposes and powers.
The purposes of the board and the suppliers under this chapter shall be to protect
            the quality and safety of the public drinking water supply. In carrying out the foregoing
            purposes the board shall have, in addition to the powers granted in this chapter,
            all of the powers enumerated in chapter 15.1 of this title, and shall have the power
            to acquire interests in land in the manner provided in § 46-15.1-5, but in exercising these powers, the board shall not be subject to any limitation
            on the use of funds contained in § 46-15.1-19.
