§ 46-14-8. Penalties.

(a) Civil penalty. Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter, or any rule, regulation, or order issued pursuant thereto, shall be subject to a civil penalty of not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000) for each day during which the violation occurs.

(b) Criminal penalty.

(1) Any person who shall be found guilty of violating, willfully or with criminal negligence, any of the provisions of this chapter, or of any rule, or regulation issued pursuant thereto, or an order of the director, shall be punished by a fine of not more than
