§ 23-7-5. Vacancies, quorum and removal for cause.
(a) Any vacancy which may occur in the board shall be filled by the governor with the
            advice and consent of the senate for the remainder of the unexpired term. A member
            shall be eligible to succeed himself or herself.
         
(b) Six (6) members of the board shall constitute a quorum.
         
(c) Members of the board shall be removable by the governor pursuant to § 36-1-7 of the general laws and for cause only, and removal solely for partisan or personal
            reasons unrelated to capacity or fitness for the office shall be unlawful.
