§ 23-63-3. Environmental impact statement — Necessity — Approval of director.

No export of tires for burning shall be permitted to a facility which has not submitted to the satisfaction of the director, in accordance with reasonable rules and regulations, an environmental impact statement conforming to the United States environmental protection agency standards. Upon the filing of a satisfactory environmental impact statement, the director shall conduct a public hearing seeking public comment prior to granting final approval of the statement and approval of the export of the tires.
