§ 23-33-2.3. Qualified mechanic.
No person shall, within the limits of this state, construct or install any elevator,
            escalator or other device subject to the provisions of this chapter or repair or maintain
            any parts of the drive machinery, controllers or safety circuits thereof without being
            licensed by the division of occupational safety. The fee and the requirements for
            this license shall be established by regulation through the code commission.
