§ 23-28.25-1. Applicability.
All buildings and facilities covered under the Fire Safety Code and all codes adopted
            pursuant to the Fire Safety Code, shall be equipped with an approved fire alarm system
            installed and maintained in accordance with this chapter and any updated fire alarm
            regulations adopted by the Fire Safety Code Board of Appeal & Review. Any building
            that is not a place of assembly, that is required to be equipped with a fire alarm
            system pursuant to the Rhode Island Fire Safety Code, shall be so equipped on or before
            July 1, 2005.
