§ 23-28.2-22. Fire education and training unit.

(a) There shall be a fire education and training unit within the office of the state fire marshal headed by a director of fire training. The director of fire training shall be appointed by the fire marshal from a list of names submitted by the fire education and training coordinating board based on recommendations of a screening committee of that board. Other staff and resources, such as part-time instructors, shall be requested consistent with the state budget process.

(b) This unit shall be responsible for implementing fire education and training programs
