§ 23-28.1-10. Issuance and validity of certificates.
Notwithstanding any law, regulation or practice to the contrary, smoke detector and
            carbon monoxide detector certificates issued by any state or local authority shall
            be valid for such period as the issuing authority may specify, but in no event for
            less than a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of issuance.
