§ 23-22.5-10. Control of surfboard activities.

The director of the department of environmental management or a person designated by him or her and acting in his or her behalf is authorized to designate certain water areas within the state where surfboarding shall be prohibited and to make any rules and regulations that shall be necessary to control surfing and surfboard activities within the territorial water areas of this state. Any person violating any of the rules or regulations made by the director of the department of environmental management pursuant to the authority granted in this section shall, upon conviction, be fined not more
