§ 23-19.11-4. Fees.

All generators of low level radioactive waste will deposit as general revenues a fee equivalent to that which has been stated in the compact agreement of the state of Rhode Island and a compact commission of a region in which a regional disposal facility is located to provide for Rhode Island's low-level radioactive waste generated. This fee will be no more than the penalty surcharge as specified in the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Policy Act of 1988, 42 U.S.C. § 2021(b), and will be based on the cubic feet of low-level radioactive waste deposited in an approved low level radioactive waste disposal facility.
