§ 23-18.9-9.2. Further requirements for landfills.

In addition to any other requirements imposed by § 23-18.9-9, no license to operate a solid waste management facility which is a commercial landfill shall be issued and/or renewed by the director unless the applicant provides evidence of either:

(1)bonding; and/or (2) a catastrophe fund, both to be in an amount and for a length of time as the director shall determine to be necessary to protect the general public's health and welfare from any potential complication arising from the landfill.
