§ 23-17.6-2. "Advanced emergency medical techniciansâ€� defined.
For the purposes of this chapter, "advanced emergency medical technicianâ€� means personnel
            who have been specially trained in emergency cardiac and non-cardiac care in an advanced
            emergency medical technician course approved by the ambulance service coordinating
            board. The course shall include, but not be limited to, didactic and clinical experience
            in a hospital coronary care unit and emergency rescue vehicle and training in cardiopulmonary
            resuscitation.
