§ 23-17.5-31. Reimbursement of monies prepaid to deceased patient's estate.
Every nursing home shall be required to reimburse any monies that have been prepaid on behalf of a deceased patient to the nursing home within ninety (90) days of the patient's date of death. Said reimbursement shall be paid to the person(s), institution or other legal entity who has paid the monies, or if there be none, to the deceased patient's estate, and payment shall be made in the amount remaining after all items and services provided or arranged by the nursing home have been paid.
