§ 23-17.4-4. License required for assisted living residence operation.

(a) No person, acting severally or jointly with any other person, shall establish, conduct, or maintain an assisted living residence in this state without a license under this chapter.

(b) No person, acting severally or jointly with any other person, shall admit or retain a resident in an assisted living residence which residence:

(1)does not meet the definition and requirements of this chapter; or (2) is not able to provide the services needed by a resident as agreed to in the service plan required under § 23-17.4-15.6.
