§ 23-17.19-2. Definitions.
The following words and phrases when used in this chapter have the meanings given
            to them in this section unless the content clearly indicates otherwise:
         
(1) "Departmentâ€� means the department of health;
         
(2) "Employeeâ€� means an individual employed, whether directly, by the contract with another
            entity or as an independent contractor, by a long-term care nursing facility on a
            part-time or full-time basis;
         
(3) "Long-term care facility or facilityâ€� means a health care facility as defined in chapter
