§ 23-15-9. Severability.
If any provision of this chapter or the application of any provision of this chapter
            to any person or circumstances shall be held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect
            the provisions or application of this chapter which can be given effect without the
            invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of the chapter are
            declared to be severable.
