The boundary of Wallowa County is as follows:

(1)Commencing at the northeast corner of the state; thence west on the state line to the east boundary of Umatilla County; thence south on the east boundary of Umatilla County to the first standard parallel north of the Willamette Base Line; thence east to the northwest corner township 4 north, range 41 east, Willamette Meridian; thence south six miles to the southwest corner township 4 north, range 41 east, Willamette Meridian; thence west two miles to the northwest corner section 2, township 3 north, range 40 east, Willamette Meridian; thence south six miles to the southwest corner section 35, township 3 north, range 40 east, Willamette Meridian; thence east one mile to the southeast corner section 35; thence south two miles to the southwest
