The boundary of Grant County is as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of township 18 south of range 26 east of the Willamette Meridian; thence running north on the line between ranges 25 and 26, to the northwest corner of township 7 south, range 26 east; thence east along the township line between townships 6 and 7 south to the summit of the chain of mountains known as the Blue Mountains; thence southerly along the summit of the Blue Mountains to the westerly boundary line of Baker County, as described in ORS 201.010 (1); thence along and adjoining the western line of Baker County on the summit of the Blue Mountains southerly between the waters of Powder River and Burnt River on the east and John Day River on the west, to a point where the line of such summit intersects the section
