The section of U.S. Highway 277 beginning at the intersection of Keeney Road near Elgin extending northeasterly to the H.E. Bailey Turnpike overpass in Comanche County shall be designated as the "Captain Mark E. Barker Memorial Highway". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
