Text

The Transportation Commission shall have authority to compromise, settle or litigate claims which it may have against any person, firm or corporation for damages to or loss of property, equipment, or facilities of any kind belonging to the Department of Transportation or over which the Department or the Commission shall have jurisdiction and control for those claims exceeding the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). All other claims shall be compromised, settled, or litigated by the Director of the Department or the Director's designee.
