Text
(A)The adjutant general shall pay a death benefit of one hundred thousand dollars from the appropriations made for the purpose to the beneficiary or beneficiaries of any active duty member of the Ohio national guard who dies while performing active duty, if the beneficiary or beneficiaries has or have been so designated in a written statement as prescribed by the adjutant general.
(B)As used in this section, "active duty member" means a member of the Ohio national guard on active duty pursuant to an executive order of the president of the United States, the "Act of October 28, 2004," 118 Stat. 1878, 32 U.S.C. 901 to 908, as amended, another act of the congress of the United States, or a proclamation of the governor, but does not include a member performing full-time Ohio natonal guard
