Text

Any power of appointment may be released in whole or in part by the donee or holder of the power by an instrument in writing, signed and acknowledged in the manner prescribed for the execution of deeds. No such release is ineffective because it was given either for or without consideration, because it was signed and acknowledged before June 3, 1943, or because no delivery is made of a copy of the release as provided for in section5815.15of the Revised Code. Sections5815.14and5815.15of the Revised Code do not affect the validity of a release of a power of appointment effected in any other form or manner.
