(A)As used in this section, "start date" means one of the following, as applicable:

(1)The date that the department of transportation will advertise for competitive bids related to the chip sealing or fog sealing of an asphalt surface on a state highway project;

(2)The date that the department will begin chip sealing or fog sealing an asphalt surface on a state highway project through force account in accordance with division (A)(1)(e) of section5517.021of the Revised Code.

(B)Not less than thirty days prior to the start date of a chip sealing or fog sealing project, the director of transportation shall notify the appropriate board of county commissioners or board of township trustees of the sealing project. Last updated May 16, 2025 at 5:17 PM
