Text

Sections5503.01to5503.05of the Revised Code do not supersede, limit, or suspend any law relative to the regulation of motor transportation upon the public highways of the state by the public utilities commission. In addition to the powers and duties of the state highway patrol set forth in section5503.02of the Revised Code, a state highway patrol trooper or other authorized employee may conduct inspections of any motor vehicle subject to inspection by the commission. Such inspections shall be conducted in accordance with rules adopted by the commission and for the purpose of ensuring compliance with such rules.
