Text

As used in sections5180.45to5180.454of the Revised Code:

(A)"Adopted child" means a person who is less than eighteen years of age when the person becomes subject to a final order of adoption, an interlocutory order of adoption, or when the adoption is recognized by this state under section3107.18of the Revised Code.
(B)"Adoption" includes an adoption arranged by an attorney, a public children services agency, private child placing agency, or a private noncustodial agency, an interstate adoption, or an international or foreign adoption.
(C)"Adoptive parent" means the person or persons who obtain parental rights and responsibilities over an adopted child pursuant to a final order of adoption, an interlocutory order of adoption, or an adoption recognized by this state under section3107.
