(A)As used in this section, "felony" has the same meaning as in section109.511of the Revised Code.
(B)(1) The secretary of state shall not appoint or commission a person as a police officer for a bank, savings and loan association, credit union, or association of banks, savings and loan associations, or credit unions under division (A) of section4973.17of the Revised Code; for a railroad company under division (B) of section4973.17of the Revised Code; or for a hospital under division (D) of section4973.17of the Revised Code on a permanent basis, on a temporary basis, for a probationary term, or on other than a permanent basis if the person previously has been convicted of or has pleaded guilty to a felony.
