Text
Every municipal corporation or other authority building a highway across an existing railroad shall construct it above or below the grade of such railroad, unless allowed to build at grade as provided by sections4957.30to4957.32, inclusive, of the Revised Code. The cost of such work shall be paid, unless otherwise agreed upon, eighty-five per cent by such municipal corporation or other authority, and fifteen per cent by the company owning the railroad. "Railroad" includes interurban railroads, and "railroad company" includes interurban railroad companies engaged in the operation of cars by electricity or other motive power which said companies may adopt or use.
