(A)(1) If the holder of a license or limited permit issued under this chapter violates any section of this chapter, other than the continuing education requirements adopted under division (A)(5) of section4759.05of the Revised Code, or violates any rule adopted under this chapter, the state medical board may, pursuant to an adjudication under Chapter 119. of the Revised Code and an affirmative vote of not fewer than six of its members, impose a civil penalty. The amount of the civil penalty shall be determined by the board in accordance with the guidelines adopted under division (A)(2) of this section. The civil penalty may be in addition to any other action the board may take under section4759.07of the Revised Code.
