If an accrediting organization approved by the federal centers for medicare and medicaid services or an organization that certifies hospitals in accordance with nationally recognized certification guidelines establishes a level of stroke certification that is in addition to the four levels described in sections3727.11to3727.13of the Revised Code, the department of health shall recognize a hospital certified at that additional level. For purposes of this section, the department and a hospital shall comply with sections3727.11to3727.13of the Revised Code as if the certification and recognition described in this section were one of the four levels described in sections3727.11to3727.13of the Revised Code.
