The department of education and workforce and the chancellor of higher education shall strive to reduce unnecessary student remediation costs incurred by colleges and universities in this state, increase overall access for students to higher education, and enhance the college credit plus program in accordance with Chapter 3365. of the Revised Code. The state board of education shall strive to enhance the alternative resident educator licensure program in accordance with section3319.26of the Revised Code.
