Text

As used in sections3333.21to3333.23of the Revised Code, "term" and "academic year" mean "term" and "academic year" as defined by the chancellor of higher education. The chancellor shall establish and administer an academic scholarship program. Under the program, a total of one thousand new scholarships shall be awarded annually in the amount of not less than two thousand dollars per award. At least one such new scholarship shall be awarded annually to a student in each public high school and joint vocational school and each nonpublic high school for which the director of education and workforce prescribes minimum standards in accordance with section3301.07of the Revised Code.
