§ 3333.13 — Service attorney definition

Text

As used in sections3333.13to3333.137of the Revised Code, "employed as a service attorney" means any of the following:

(A)An attorney who works a minimum of thirty-five hours per week for a minimum of forty-five weeks each service year and who is employed by any of the following:
(1)The state public defender;
(2)The prosecuting attorney of a county;
(3)A county public defender commission;
(4)A joint county public defender commission to represent indigent persons.
(B)Counsel appointed by the court or selected by an indigent person under division (E) of section120.16or division (E) of section120.26of the Revised Code, who works in an area designated as an underserved community under section3333.132of the Revised Code for a minimum of five hundred twenty hours each service year. (
