§ 16-1604 Certificate of election. The officers conducting such\nelection shall make a certificate thereof, showing the whole number of\nvotes cast upon such proposition, and the number in favor of and against\nit, and within twenty-four hours after the closing of the polls of such\nelection, must file such certificate in the office of the village clerk.\nIf the proposition be adopted the village clerk shall within ten days\nafter the election file a certified copy of such certificate in the\noffice of the clerk of each county in which any part of such village is\nsituated, and also in the office of the secretary of state.\n
