  § 549. Cancellation of an escort certificate. An escort certificate\nshall be cancelled by the commissioner if such person's underlying\ndriver's license has expired, is revoked or suspended or upon\nnotification by the commissioner of transportation or the New York state\nthruway authority that the person has violated any rule or regulation of\nthe commissioner of transportation or the New York state thruway\nauthority governing the operation, use and equipment of escort vehicles\nand the duties and responsibilities of the operator of an escort\nvehicle.\n
