§ 97-ggg. Teacher certification program account. 1. There is hereby\nestablished in the joint custody of the state comptroller and the\ncommissioner of the department of taxation and finance an account of the\nmiscellaneous special revenue fund to be known as the teacher\ncertification program account.\n 2. Notwithstanding any other law, rule or regulation to the contrary,\nthe state comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to receive for\ndeposit to the credit of the teacher certification account, fees related\nto responsibilities of the education department pursuant to section\nthree thousand six of the education law including workload pursuant to\nchapter six hundred fifty of the laws of nineteen hundred ninety\nincluding all fees for teaching certificates, temporary licenses,\nincluding temporary coaching licenses, temporary certificates and\ncontinuing and duplicate certificates and penalties and fines pursuant\nto subdivision seven of section three hundred five of the education law.\n 3. Moneys of this account, following appropriation by the legislature,\nshall be available to the state education department for services and\nexpenses related to the administration of the teacher certification\nprogram.\n
