§ 181. Title of successor of custodian of court funds. On the\nexpiration of the official term of a public officer, or where a vacancy\noccurs in his office, by death or otherwise, all public stock, bonds,\nmortgages, and other securities deposited into court and held by him,\nvest in his successor in office; and all money paid into court and\ndeposited in a bank, trust company or other depository, to his credit,\nvests in, and must be carried to, the account of his successor in\noffice.\n
