§ 396. Health and welfare services to all children. All public\nwelfare districts and towns, shall provide children who attend schools\nother than public with all or any of the health and welfare services and\nfacilities, including but not limited to health, surgical, medical,\ndental and therapeutic care and treatment, and corrective aids and\nappliances, authorized by law and now granted or hereafter made\navailable by the public welfare district or districts and/or towns for\nor to children in the public schools in so far as these services and\nfacilities may be requested by the authorities of the schools other than\npublic. Any such services or facilities shall be so provided\nnotwithstanding any provision of any charter or other provision of law\ninconsistent herewith.\n
