§ 1127. Disposition of records after 10 years\n The public administrator is authorized to destroy the file and all of\nthe papers relating to a decedent after the lapse of 10 years from the\ncompletion of the administration of his estate. The public\nadministrator and the city of New York shall not be liable or held to\naccount for such action.\n
