§ 184. Further jurisdiction. The police justice shall also possess all\nthe powers and jurisdiction of a magistrate, which are or may be\nconferred by law upon justices of the peace, concerning offenses\ncommitted within the city. He shall possess such other powers and\nperform such other duties as are now or may be conferred or imposed by\nlaw.\n
