§ 382. Optional retirement of members in the division of state police\nafter twenty years of service.

a.Any member in the division of state\npolice in the executive department shall be entitled to retire after the\ncompletion of twenty years of total creditable service in such division,\nor upon attainment of age sixty in such division if prior thereto, by\nfiling an application therefor in a manner similar to that provided in\nsection three hundred seventy of this article. Upon so retiring such\nmember shall receive:\n 1. If he elected or was required to contribute in accordance with the\nprovisions of section three hundred eighty-one or section three hundred\neighty-one-a of this article, a retirement allowance equal to the\npresent value of a retirement allowance computed upon such
