§ 1311. Election of benefit enhancements.

a.The state of New York may\nelect to provide employees who hold a position represented by the\nrecognized collective bargaining units affiliated with the New York\nstate united teachers employee organization as certified by his or her\nemployer the benefit enhancements provided for in section thirteen\nhundred twelve of this article.\n b. Such election is made by the governor to the retirement system upon\nreceipt of a request by the New York state united teachers employee\norganization.\n
