§ 1301. Election of benefit enhancements.
a.The state of New York may\nelect to provide its employees the benefit enhancements provided for in\nsection thirteen hundred two of this article.\n b. A separate election to provide benefit enhancements pursuant to\nsubdivision a of this section must be made for each specific collective\nbargaining organization, recognized or certified pursuant to article\nfourteen of the civil service law.\n c. Such election is made by the governor to the retirement system upon\nreceipt of a request from the collective bargaining organization,\nrecognized or certified pursuant to article fourteen of the civil\nservice law to represent such eligible employees.
