§ 2803-h. Health related facility; pet therapy programs.\nNotwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law, rule or regulation to\nthe contrary, and subject to the approval of the commissioner, every\nresidential health care facility, as defined in section twenty-eight\nhundred one of this article, may, at the discretion of such facility,\nboard animals in such facility where such boarding would, in the\ndetermination of the commissioner and such facility, tend to promote the\ngeneral well-being of the residents of such facility. The commissioner\nshall adopt rules and regulations necessary to implement the provisions\nof this section.\n
