§ 642. Civil service and pension system membership.

1.The trust, for\nthe purpose of administering the civil service law, shall be subject to\nthe provisions of the civil service law and the rules of the city\ndepartment of citywide administrative services or any successor acting\nas the municipal commission of the city. The president of the trust\nshall be empowered to act for the trust in all matters relating to\ncompliance with this subdivision.\n 2. With respect to persons employed by NYCHA on the effective date of\nthis section, the trust and NYCHA shall be deemed to be the same public\nemployer only for purposes of transfer of employment under the civil\nservice law, which may be made only with the approval of the NYCHA CEO\nand the president of the trust.
